The History of Millersburg/BetheI, Berks Co. PA was published recently. This is the second hardcover book in a series of community books being published by AHC. The History of Woleberstown was the first book and will be offered at a special price until our limited supply is depleted at $25.00 plus tax or $26.50.
The cost is$60.00 plus tax, or $63.60. Shipping: $8.00. This history of Millersburg/Bethel is hard cover bound, more than double the size of the Mt. Aetna book. It is very similar to Mt. Aetna's book in layout, with many pictures, most of which are in color, Much history has been researched and included in this book which has never been printed in any other book, including a more complete history of Michael Miller, founder of the town and his dealings.
Books can be picked up at Andulhea Heritage Center, located in Rehrersburg behind the Hill Funeral Home the last Saturday of each month 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Send your order to AHC, Box 176, Rehrersburg, PA, 19550 now to reserve your copy of the Bethel book. A limited amount of this book has been published. When they are gone, they are gone, with no second printing planned. This beautiful book was 'in the making" for more than four years and contains memorabilia and photos from more than a hundred years ago up to today. It is a treasure and will become more as time passes.
Your purchase of this second book in a three volume set will allow the publication committee of AHC to finally finish the Rehrersburg book. The Rehrersburg book was begun years ago and put on the back burner twice, first for Mt. Aetna and then for Bethel. Publishing these books is not only very time consuming but also extremely costly to print. Don't miss out, order yours today and also purchase a discounted Mt. Aetna book for your grandchildren if you did not yet do so.
Make all checks payable to AHC.
The library will be open as long as a volunteer is available.
Carol Dieffenbach Kantner will present a program on the four generations of organ builders. Come and learn about these organs that were built and Bethel and those that remain today. It will be held at Altalaha Lutheran Church next to AHC. Bring a friend to this informative and interesting program!
